Ingredients
Scale
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
4 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Assorted vegetables (carrots, celery, cucumbers, bell peppers) for serving
Pita bread or crackers for serving
Instructions
Soften the Cream Cheese: Ensure cream cheese is softened. Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes prior, or microwave for 15-20 seconds, watching carefully.
Combine the Cheeses: In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese and crumbled feta. Blend with a fork or hand mixer until well combined.
Add the Wet Ingredients: Add mayonnaise, sour cream, and olive oil to the cheese mixture. Stir until well incorporated.
Incorporate the Aromatics: Add minced garlic, chopped fresh dill, and chopped fresh parsley. Stir well to combine.
Add the Lemon Juice and Zest: Add lemon juice and lemon zest. Stir until evenly distributed.
Spice it Up (Optional): If desired, add red pepper flakes. Start with 1/4 teaspoon and adjust to taste. Stir well.
Season to Taste: Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Be cautious with salt, as feta is salty.
Mix Thoroughly: Give the dip one final stir to ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed.
Chill the Dip: Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours) to allow flavors to meld.
Prepare the Vegetables and Bread: While chilling, prepare vegetables and pita bread/crackers. Wash and chop vegetables. Toast or cut pita bread into wedges.
Serve and Enjoy: Remove dip from refrigerator, stir, and transfer to a serving bowl. Arrange vegetables and pita bread/crackers around it. Serve immediately.
