Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound salmon fillet, skin removed
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or pasta, for serving

Instructions

  1. Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Cut the salmon fillet into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a large bowl, combine shrimp and salmon. Sprinkle with Cajun seasoning and mix well to coat evenly. Let sit for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and salmon in a single layer, cooking for 3-4 minutes without moving.
  5. Flip the seafood and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until shrimp are pink and salmon is cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  7. Pour in chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet to deglaze. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Add heavy cream and stir to combine. Simmer for another 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  9. Stir in lemon juice and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Return the cooked shrimp and salmon to the skillet, gently tossing to coat in the sauce. Simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  11. Sprinkle chopped parsley over the top before serving.
  12. Serve over cooked rice or pasta, drizzling with extra garlic sauce. Garnish with additional parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add cayenne pepper to the Cajun seasoning or diced jalapeños when cooking the garlic.
  • Substitute heavy cream with coconut milk or a low-fat cream alternative for a lighter version.
  • Pair with steamed vegetables or a fresh green salad for a complete meal.
