Garlic Butter Chicken Bites: A Delicious and Easy Recipe for Dinner

These Garlic Butter Chicken Bites are a quick and delicious dish featuring tender chicken pieces sautéed in a rich garlic butter sauce, enhanced with lemon juice and fresh parsley. Ideal for a weeknight dinner or as an appetizer, this recipe is both flavorful and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (or a mix of oregano, basil, and thyme)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (for a bit of heat)

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces (about 1-inch cubes) and place them in a large bowl. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and dried Italian herbs. If desired, add red pepper flakes for heat. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. A cast-iron skillet is ideal for this recipe.
  3. Once the butter is melted and bubbling, add the minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant and slightly golden, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Add the seasoned chicken pieces to the skillet in a single layer. Cook undisturbed for 4-5 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes until cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C).
  5. Squeeze the juice of one lemon over the cooked chicken and stir to coat.
  6. Allow the chicken to cook for an additional minute or two to meld the flavors.
  7. Remove from heat, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve. This dish pairs well with steamed vegetables, rice, or pasta.

Notes

  • Use fresh garlic and herbs for the best flavor.
  • Allow the chicken to sear properly for a golden crust.
  • Adjust seasonings to your taste; add more garlic or red pepper flakes if desired.
  • For a complete meal, consider adding sautéed vegetables during the last few minutes of cooking.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
