These Grilled Chicken Tenders are marinated in a zesty mix of olive oil, lemon juice, and spices, then grilled to juicy perfection. Perfect as an appetizer or a tasty addition to salads and wraps.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound of chicken tenders
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the olive oil and lemon juice.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the bowl.
  3. Sprinkle in the paprika, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  4. Mix all the ingredients until well combined.
  5. Place the chicken tenders in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish.
  6. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well coated. Seal the bag and shake gently.
  7. Let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.
  8. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. For charcoal, light the charcoal and wait until covered with white ash.
  9. Oil the grill grates using a paper towel dipped in olive oil and tongs.
  10. Remove the chicken from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes.
  11. Place the chicken tenders on the grill, leaving space between each piece.
  12. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on one side until grill marks appear.
  13. Flip the chicken and grill the other side for another 4-5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  14. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for about 5 minutes.
  15. Slice the chicken tenders into bite-sized pieces.
  16. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
  17. Serve on a platter, either on their own or with a dipping sauce.
  18. Optionally, serve in a wrap with fresh veggies and dressing or add to a salad.

Notes

  • Choose Quality Chicken: Opt for fresh, high-quality chicken tenders for the best flavor and tenderness.
  • Marinating Time: For maximum flavor, marinate the chicken for up to 2 hours if time allows.
