  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup (optional, for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Crush 24 Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and crushing with a rolling pin.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies with 1/4 cup of melted unsalted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated.
  4. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  5. Bake the crust for about 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let it cool.
  6. In a large mixing bowl, beat 16 oz of softened cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy (about 2-3 minutes).
  7. Add 1 cup of powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and continue to beat until well combined.
  8. In a separate bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
  9. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
  10. Add 1/2 cup of sour cream and mix until just combined.
  11. Fold in 4 crushed Oreo cookies for added texture.
  12. Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled Oreo crust in the springform pan and spread it evenly.
  13. Tap the pan gently on the counter to remove any air bubbles.
  14. Cover the cheesecake with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
  15. Carefully remove the sides of the springform pan, running a knife around the edge if needed.
  16. Drizzle chocolate syrup over the top and garnish with additional crushed Oreo cookies.
  17. Slice into wedges using a sharp knife, dipping it in hot water for clean cuts.
