  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup of beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 8 ounces of cooked pasta (like penne or rotini)
  • 1 cup of shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula (5-7 minutes).
  2. Drain excess fat from the skillet.
  3. Add diced onion, green bell pepper, and sliced mushrooms. Sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
  4. Stir in minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes.
  6. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente (8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked pasta with the beef and vegetable mixture. Stir gently.
  9. Add half of the provolone and half of the mozzarella cheese to the mixture. Mix until evenly distributed.
  10. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish. Pour the pasta and beef mixture into the dish, spreading it evenly.
  11. Top with remaining provolone and mozzarella cheese, then sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  12. Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  13. Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley.
