  • 3 large eggs

  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the granulated sugar and softened butter until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Mix in the vanilla and almond extracts.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the sour cream.
  7. Fold in the chopped pecans (or walnuts).
  8. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and ground cinnamon.
  9. Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan.
  10. Pour half of the batter into the prepared bundt pan.
  11. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the batter.
  12. Pour the remaining batter on top and sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
  13. Bake for 50-60 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  14. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack.
  15. Allow the cake to cool completely before slicing and serving.
