This Summer Moscato Sangria is a refreshing blend of fruity flavors, featuring fresh strawberries, peaches, and blueberries, perfect for warm weather gatherings. Sweet and bubbly, it’s an impressive drink that will delight your guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) of Moscato wine
  • 1 cup of peach schnapps
  • 1 cup of fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup of fresh peaches, pitted and sliced
  • 1 cup of fresh blueberries
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 2 cups of club soda or lemon-lime soda
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Wash all fresh fruit thoroughly using a colander.
  2. Hull the strawberries by removing the green tops and slice them into thin pieces (about 1 cup).
  3. Slice the peaches in half, remove the pit, and cut them into thin wedges (about 1 cup).
  4. Rinse the blueberries under cold water and set aside to dry.
  5. Slice the orange and lemon into thin rounds, removing seeds if necessary.
  6. In a large pitcher, pour in the entire bottle of Moscato wine.
  7. Add 1 cup of peach schnapps to the pitcher.
  8. Gently stir the wine and schnapps together using a long spoon.
  9. Add the prepared fruit to the pitcher, starting with the strawberries, followed by peach wedges, blueberries, and orange and lemon slices.
  10. Gently stir to ensure the fruit is evenly distributed.
  11. Cover the pitcher with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight is best for flavor melding).
  12. Just before serving, add the club soda or lemon-lime soda to the pitcher for fizz.
  13. Stir gently to combine without losing bubbles.
  14. Fill a large glass or wine glass with ice cubes.
  15. Pour the sangria over the ice, including some fruit in each glass.
  16. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint.
  17. Serve immediately and enjoy with friends or family. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days, but consume fresh for the best fizz.

Notes

  • Customize your sangria by adding other fruits like pineapple or mango.
  • For a less sweet version, use dry white wine instead of Moscato and skip the schnapps.
  • Consider adding herbs like basil or rosemary for a unique twist.
