Food, microwave, AND dishwasher safe. To avoid accidents and breakages, we highly recommend washing these in the dishwasher and NOT by hand.

Please remember this means there will be small variations from piece to piece. **THIS INCLUDES THE PRECISE LIQUID VOLUME** Mugs may range in variance from 22-24 ounces (because 1 ounce is not very much when it comes to handmade precision, let me tell ya!). The volume of our mugs is measured to the RIM of the mug for the sake of consistency. Obviously, in everyday use, we all consider a mug “full” at a different height/amount below the rim. We do our best to make every piece as consistent as possible, and only sell items within a small range of variance, but the goal of handmade is not to recreate industrial sameness. If you are looking for an exact volume size, handmade may not be the best solution for you.

Part of what makes this mug so enjoyable is how light it is to hold, even when full of liquid. When taking care of your handmade mug, consider it the same way you would an item of glassware. For example, you would expect glassware to break if it gets bumped around in the sink too much. Great care is taken to package every piece for a safe trip through the postal system, but obviously, we have no control over what happens once the box leaves our hands. If your piece arrives broken, please contact us IMMEDIATELY. If we have additional inventory, we will replace your item promptly. If we are out of stock or you purchased a one-of-a-kind item, we will refund your order minus the cost of shipping & taxes/fees already paid to Etsy. Replacing items damaged during shipping without cost is only available if we receive a message from you within 1 week of the package arriving, per the tracking number delivery date.

All pieces are tested heavily before being sold to ensure they withstand the basic bumps of everyday life. We continue to use every single one of the items we sell in our own life. Please note: Thanks to the wonders of physics, it is easy to tell what causes certain breakages in photos of pieces. We stand by the integrity of our craftsmanship (honed over nearly a decade of working in ceramics) and know from our own direct everyday use that pieces don’t break without cause. Every time a handle is bumped, there is a risk of creating an unseen bump. The more times the same location experiences an impact, the greater risk that it can break, seemingly randomly, one day.
